Bayer USA Foundation on Wednesday awarded ASSET STEM Education $500,000 over three years to improve science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education for all learners, pre-kindergarten through career.
PITTSBURGH, PA – Bayer USA Foundation has awarded ASSET STEM Education™ $500,000 over three years to systemically improve science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education for all learners, pre-K through career. Specifically, the funds will build ASSET’s capacity to expand proven teacher professional development, learning materials leasing and expert consulting to additional schools and educational organizations to increase student interest, engagement and achievement.
PITTSBURGH—Westinghouse Electric Company will contribute $500 to ASSET STEM Education™ for every error-free Pittsburgh Pirates game during the 2016 regular season to help bolster the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) knowledge and skills our students need to prepare for their futures in the global workforce.
The second Biz-Ed Blitz: Connecting Classrooms to Careers will be held April 7 at Google Pittsburgh‘s office in Bakery Square. It’s an initiative of ASSET STEM Education, a nonprofit established by the Bayer Corporation and community partners to foster and improve STEM education training.
