Academy for Intermediate Mathematics Engagement (AIMe)

Tioga County
Made possible by the Shell Oil Company
Designed to foster student engagement, proficiency, and achievement in mathematics. This program includes:

  • 2.5 days of in-depth professional learning
  • In-school coaching sessions
  • Mathematics Engagement Toolkit
  • Substitute reimbursement

Open to: Middle-grade (5-8) math teachers from the following Pennsylvania’s Galeton Area School District (SD), Northern Potter SD, Northern TiogaSD, Southern Tioga SD, & Wellsboro Area SD

STEM From Square One

Pittsburgh Northside

Made possible by the Henry C. Frick Educational Fund of the Buhl Foundation
Focused on Pittsburgh’s historic Northside, this three-year program supports students before, during, and after school. Pre-K, elementary, and Out-of-School Time educators will receive professional learning and accompanying hands-on classroom materials to facilitate quality STEM learning from Pre-K to grade 5.
Year 1 (2018-19) Open to: K-5 teachers in Pittsburgh’s Northside
Year 2 (2019-20) Open to: Out-of-School-Time (OST) educators in Pittsburgh’s Northside
Year 3 (2020-21) Open to: Pre-K educators in Pittsburgh’s Northside
Registration for Year 2 (OST providers) begins in fall 2019.
