When it comes to planning and implementing STEM education programs, one size doesn’t fit all. That’s why ASSET STEM Education™ is working with school districts and education organizations to support the development of transdisciplinary STEM programs that advance student learning and achievement.

ASSET’s new STEM Immersion Planning Service is individualized to address the specific needs of any school, district or organization. Designed to serve a leadership team, this service offers guidance in creating a cohesive definition of STEM education for the organization. Participants will examine their goals, determine strengths and identify gaps as they work towards successful STEM integration.

Altoona Area School District is one district participating in the service.

"We want to create a culture that is totally learner focused, and STEM education helps to create that type of learning culture. It provides the tools for learners to really become engaged and motivated in ways that traditional education doesn’t provide…The STEM Immersion Planning Service will help our leadership teams to totally gain a clear awareness of what is it we need to do, and start to set the stage for how we plan to get there."

Dr. Luke Lansberry, Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, Altoona Area School District

One of the great benefits of ASSET’s STEM Immersion Planning Service is that it brings together the key stakeholders from an organization to collaborate and have an in-depth, meaningful conversation about their STEM education program. This conversation is guided and supported by ASSET Professional Development Specialists, providing a level of expertise that helps group members land on the same page about their goals and next steps.
