ASSET Inc. Names Covestro's Ted Frick as Board President
ASSET Inc. is pleased to welcome Dr. Ted Frick as the president of its Board of Directors. Ted has served on ASSET’s Board since 2013 and succeeds Timothy Goetz, who will remain on the board as a director.
Ted is the Vice President and Head of North American Research and Development for the Polyurethanes (PUR) business unit at Covestro LLC. In this role, he is responsible for technical development and support, and leads a team of over 70 scientists, engineers, technical service professionals, and laboratory personnel.
Ted began his career with Covestro in 1989 as a development scientist in the Polyurethanes business unit, after receiving his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Since then, he has held positions of increasing responsibility and has developed technology in the areas of polyurethane RIM elastomers, composites, rigid foams and wood binders. He is listed as the inventor on six U.S. and numerous foreign patents.
In addition to his work responsibilities, Ted is passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education outreach. He has been a volunteer with i3 STEM, Covestro’s STEM outreach program, for almost 20 years, and served on their Steering Committee for over a decade.
