Exemplary programs have five elements common to all effective science education programs. One of those elements is described as "inquiry-centered science curriculum units that have gone through a research and review process." The curriculum materials ASSET usesin its program meet this criterion. Further, these materials are aligned with the National Science Education Standards (NSES) and PA science standards. Districts can pick and choose modules specific to their own curriculum requirements.
